Bought this last week for an upcoming trip to Europe for use as an added measure of safety in the hotel rooms we are staying in. Received particularly quick implementing Amazon Prime.
Tested this transportable lock in my property with 2 distinct doors and operates wonders! With this lock on, it will make it incredibly challenging for an intruder to come in to your room. Even though the red piece is plastic it is reinforced with a metal plate underneath it which makes it truly solid! This tends to make the complete transportable lock produced of metal! Once installed, it was tough for me to go in the house. I think that I would have to kick the door in to jar this portable lock loose.
Wonderful added measure of safety! I will sleep greater being aware of that even if an intruder manage to pick the locks of my hotel area, they would have to kick the door in to open it with this transportable lock in location!

When it fits, it delivers a sturdy barrier, fast to put on or remove. It can be specifically helpful when renting vacation homes or condos where some realtors, property managers, or upkeep males tend to enter with no even knocking at instances. Too numerous men and women seem to have keys, and feel entitled to enter whenever they please, at such places. Regrettably, it only fits conventional doors, and only when the door and lock fit the frame perfectly.
I have never been in a position to use it at a hotel, and also commonly come across it will not work in ordinary doors. Sadly, housekeeping and maintenance staff have keys to ALL locks, even deadbolts, and can even get into rooms with security bars simply. I would like to see a new version of this for hotels, and some adjust that would make it easier to use on "imperfect" doors.
